This site is intended for University of Edinburgh students in Zoë Payne's tutorial groups for Metaphysics & Epistemology. Some general course and tutorial information is given below, and the menu to the left includes links to a list of useful web sites for this course, presentation schedules and presentation guidelines.

Tutorial information

The tutorials run every two weeks (in weeks 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 in both semesters 1 and 2). If you can't make a tutorial, please email me to let me know why. This is particularly important if you were due to give a presentation at the tutorial. You can also email me if you have any questions/concerns/comments and I'll do my best to help.

For each tutorial, one or two students will be giving a presentation on the reading for the tutorial, and I'll expect everyone else to have read the texts that are to be presented and be ready to raise points for discussion. I've put together some guidelines/instructions for students giving presentations. Please take a look at them before you write your presentation.

All students should have submitted at least two pieces of coursework for assessment before the end of the course. See the coursework page for more details.
