Introduction to Philosophy 1
Worksheets
Below are links to pdf versions of the worksheets from each tutorial.
I also aim to publish sample answers to the worksheets to give you some idea of the sorts of things you could say about the questions raised. Where these are available, there will be a link labelled 'Sample answers'. You should not assume that the answers given are the only appropriate ones - there is usually more than one way to respond to a question. Nor should you take them as comprehensive or even correct - there is plenty more that could be said, and what is said sometimes makes assumptions for which justifications are not given. It is up to you to decide whether the claims and arguments given are correct or valid - though I have not deliberately said anything I know is false, there are some simplifications, controversial claims and arguments that perhaps would not hold up to closer scrutiny. For this reason, these sample answer sheets should not be used as source material for arguments in your essays, though you can of course use them to help you get started thinking yourself about what to say about the topics we have covered.
