Biography

I have my own website, so this is only a short bio.....

I was born and raised in Edinburgh, going to University in St. Andrews in 1993 to study Geochemistry. I graduated in 1997, and after some shenanigans, returned to Edinburgh to do a PhD which I started in October 1998. In April 2002 I finished my PhD and began work as a postdoctoral research associate in the group.

My principle research interests are in the fields of applied analysis and instrument development.

Research Interests

These are some of my current projects:

  1. Commercial Collaborative Development of the next Generation Benchtop Laser Mass Microscope.
  2. Developing Source Typing of Illegal Drugs by chemical analysis (specifically cannabis).
