Welcome to the Ohkura lab home page! Our laboratory is part of the Wellcome Centre for Cell Biology within the Institute of Cell Biology, School of Biological Sciences at Edinburgh University. Our research is focused on the molecular mechanisms of mitosis/meiosis and microtubule regulation in cell cycle and development. We take full advantage of model systems by using fruit fly, fission yeast and cultured cells. Within this site you will find an overview of our research interests, brief information on people in the lab and a list of our most recent publications.
