Collaborators
Working at the interface of Chemistry Physics and Biology,
our work is extremely interdisciplinary. We carry out much of our work
within the SIRCAMS
facility, a national centre for mass spectrometry at the University
of Edinburgh.
Our funding comes from EPSRC, the School of Chemistry, and
Micromass Mass Spectrometry Technologies UK. We collaborate with
several researchers both in the School of Chemistry and beyond. Real world
relevance is attained from our strong interax`ctions with biomedical research
groups in Edinburgh at the MRC Human Genetics Unit and the MRC Human Reproductive
Sciences Unit. Our Ion Mobility studies are greatly assisted by links
with the group of Mike Bowers at UCSB, and also by MicroMass UK. Recently we have forged links with David Wales's group in Cambridge. We hope to benefit significantly from his tremedous understanding of conformational sampling in biological systems.
