EMBO workshop 2010

The Hardwick Lab

Welcome to the homepage of the Kevin Hardwick Lab! Research in our laboratory focuses on mitosis, and a dissection of the mechanism of action of the spindle checkpoint. Yeast is our model organism, and both the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe are extremely well suited for testing models of spindle checkpoint action. We employ a combination of techniques including classical biochemistry, in vitro reconstitution, genetics, and live-cell fluorescent imaging microscopy including FRAP.

Our research group is part of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. If you would like to contact us please follow the corresponding link from the menu at the top. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy your stay on our web site!
