Martine Viry-Moussaïd
I did my studies and my Ph.D. in Strasbourg (France). There I worked
on Plant Virology in IBMP (Institute for Plant Molecular Biology). The
title of my thesis is (in french) : “ Obtention et analyse des RNA synthétiques
correspondant au génome du virus du court-noué de la vigne
(GFLV) - Contribution à l’étude de l’organisation génomique
du virus.” (In english I would write : “ Construction and analysis of synthetic
Grapevine fanleaf virus genomic RNAs - study of the viral genomic organisation”).
I joined the “Luminescing Team” in June 1996 and the title of my
project is : “Regulation of guard cell intracellular calcium in intact
leaves of aequorin transformed plants. ”The aim of the project is to target
expression of the apoaequorin gene in transgenic tobacco and Arabidopsis
(using promoters that are thought to be predominantly expressed in the
guard cells) to study the regulation of guard cell intracellular calcium
in intact leaves. We want to investigate the calcium response and the change
in stomatal aperture after various stimuli (like ABA, water stress, different
humidity and CO2 concentrations) are applied on whole
leaf or seedling.
