Everyone is welcome to take part in the
King's Buildings Four mile Handicap race which is held on the
last Thursday of each month except December when it is on the
last suitable Thursday. (Thursday 15th in December 2011).
There is NO entry fee.
Although it starts at 1 pm from the main gate, newcomers and those who have not run it for a while should arrive before 12:45 at the KB union to negotiate their handicap with Alex Jackson.
The course record of 19 min 40 secs was set in June 1992 by Dave Ross of Racing Club Edinburgh.
The women's course record of 22 min 50 secs was set in Jan 1999 by
Angela Mudge.
(She also holds the women's course record for the Himalayan Marathon.)
