Cancer Medicinal Chemistry:
4 year programme funded by CRUK
The Hulme research group is based in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. Group research interests cover diverse fields from synthetic organic chemistry and Chemical Biology, to historic textile dyestuffs. Central to all our research activities are natural products, which provide molecular scaffolds of a range of shapes and sizes.
The Hulme group labs and offices were refurbished as part of a recent £4M Chemical Biology initiative at the School of Chemistry. You can find us in Rms 52-55. We collaborate with other groups across the UK and in Europe to combine chemical and biological expertise in a range of therapeutic areas. Our research is funded by the UK research councils including EPSRC, BBSRC, MRC; the EC under FP5 and FP6; Cancer Research UK and the UK Pharmaceutical Industry.
