Welcome to our Microwave Chemistry Pages.
These pages are here to provide scientists, and chemists in particular,
with an overview of microwave-induced chemistry. Microwave chemistry has
experienced an almost exponential growth rate, both in industry and
academia, but large numbers of experimentalists are still unaware of its
benefits. Many are unsure whether their own research activities would
really benefit from the purchase of microwave apparatus. Yet others have
tried to use microwaves without any understanding of the basic
principles, and may be experiencing difficulty in scaling their process
up. As with any synthetic technique - indeed, more than most - the use
of microwaves does involve some thought and an understanding of their
modus operandi if they are to be consistently used to advantage.
